One more kudo to you-
My problem was erroring: cannot find wab.dll - when trying to empty deleted messages. I also received another error when trying to delete files from inbox. Re-install of the entire Office 2000 SB did not help. Searched, found no wab.dll on my system.
Found your site, downloaded and copied wab.dll to system32, and all is well.
Thanks!

After hours and hours of internet searching and attempts to fix my outlook problem ("An error occurred while attempting to open the Windows Address Book. Unable to find the WAB DLL file.")I was fortunate to hit this site. By simply downloading the wab32.dll file and extracting it into the Windows/System32 folder, the problem was resolved. Thank you very much!

Somehow when upgrading to a new motherboard and switching from an AMD to an Intel CPU, the wab32.dll file disappeared, preventing e-mails to be sent in Outlook 2000. Reinstalling Outlook did not help. The Microsoft site recommended renaming the wab32.dll file and reinstalling Outlook Express to generate a new wab32.dll file. Unfortunately, that file is in System not System32. Downloading your wab32.dll file and putting it into the system32 folder solved the problem. That you so much.

I had to flash my bios and reinstall all sorts of things on my computer. Everything was working fine except for my outlook mail. I received the error message that my WAB DLL file was missing. I did a web search to see if I could find a solution to this problem. Fortunately, I found this page and downloaded the file. Everything works fine now. Thanks for your help!

I stupidly deleted my wab32.dll file from my computer -- lost the ability to send email, lost all contact with my email addresses. The only solution I knew was to crash the system and rebuild the computer.
Out of desperation, I downloaded WAB32.dll, placed it in my Windows/System32 directory, and my email worked again!
Absolutely, totally amazing!
